During the archaeological excavations for the Kunsthaus Zürich extension in 2015/16, a remarkably well-preserved medieval footpath, known as the 'Judengässli', was uncovered. This ancient path, which dates back to before the 17th century, was found to have a solidly built road surface, drainage ditches, and stake fences. The excavation also yielded several intriguing golden metal objects, including book clasps, a decorative button, a small knife, and a valuable chain.
