The villagers of Neuburg used to practice a unique form of skiing using wooden barrels called 'Fassdauben' as skis. This tradition is now extinct due to lack of snow. However, the Fassdaubenclub Neuburg still organizes a Rutschbahnfest every two years, where people slide down a 160-meter long track on small plastic sleds.
