The church of San Carlo Borromeo, located near the end of Via Nassa, has a campanile that is almost invisible due to its position and surrounding buildings. The church was built between 1640-43, but its current facade dates back to 1829. Interestingly, the church was once situated at the edge of the notorious Sassello quarter, which was demolished in the 1930s due to its poor living conditions.
